Our Little Peanut

It's been a long time since I posted, and pretty soon I am going to open this up and let everyone know!

I had my ultrasound on Sept 14 and it went really well. The Dr. said the baby is measuring exactly the size I thought it should be, and it showed that I was 6 weeks and 2 days. We only saw one baby. We saw the flicker of a heartbeat, but we couldn't hear it yet- it's just too small. What an awesome feeling! I felt pregnant all along, but there is something about seeing it on a screen. We are really excited, and have told a few people, but we are going to wait another week or so to tell the world the news. I have another ultrasound on Sept. 28 to be sure of the due date, but for now it still looks like May 8.

I am much more nauseous with this pregnancy than with Madelyn. With her I was about 20% nauseous all the time, but only really got sick once. This time I am about 65% nauseous all the time. It is hard to eat anything, but I am hungry at the same time. I can't wait for this trimester to be over, and hopefully the nausea will go away. My pants are beginning to get a little snug, but I am still able to wear them.

Two days!

Just a quick update-- I am still feeling all the early pregnancy symptoms- nausea, extremely tired, starving, mood swings....etc. On Thursday we go for our ultrasound and see if there is more than one baby. I know I said this before, but I keep thinking it's twins. Gregg doesn't want me to talk about twins. I think it overwhelms him. But I still feel like it might be. I feel like my belly is already getting bigger (I am only 6 weeks), I feel way more tired than I remember with Madelyn, and get really nauseous and then really hungry within the same minute. These could just be regular pregnancy symptoms, but I am still thinking two. I will feel pretty silly when the Dr. says there is only one.

I just can't wait to see that little heartbeat and know that there is a baby growing and thriving in my belly. I love being pregnant!!!!

Tired

There's not much to report here. I have continued to be nauseous this whole week and weekend, although I have not gotten sick yet. I am also very very tired all the time. I worked this weekend Friday, Saturday, Sunday and I work tonight (Monday) and every night at work I think I dozed off for a minute or two. I have been having such a hard time keeping my eyes open, but then when I am home during the day to sleep, I don't sleep well. I can't wait till tomorrow morning! Gregg's been busy the whole weekend with Madi. On the weekends when I am working, he has Madi all day. Today they went for a bike ride and then this afternoon, he took Madi down to the river to see the boats. He said she kept saying "ga ga ga ga" at the boats. She doesn't talk a whole lot yet, so we have been hearing a lot of "ga ga ga ga". I have to go get ready for work now. :(
